Most questions about RestUp have short answers — it's a quiet app by design. Here are the common ones; for anything else, write to us.
How do I get my first reading?
Wear your watch to sleep tonight. When you first open RestUp, grant it permission to read from Apple Health on iPhone, or Health Connect on Android — that's all the setup there is. Your first reading arrives with your first sunrise: a readiness score out of 100, and what it means for your day.
Why is there no reading this morning?
RestUp can only read what your watch recorded. Check that sleep tracking is on for your watch, that it was worn overnight and charged, and that RestUp still has permission to read your health data — on iPhone under Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → RestUp, and on Android in the Health Connect app, where each app’s access is listed. Nights synced late usually appear after opening the app once. You can also add or edit a night manually.
What does RestUp read from Apple Health or Health Connect?
RestUp reads sleep, heart rate, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, breathing rate, and workouts — from Apple Health on iPhone, or Health Connect on Android. It is read-only on both: RestUp never writes to or changes your health records. You can revoke access at any time in the Health app or in Health Connect.
How do subscriptions and refunds work?
The first week is free — nothing is charged until day eight. RestUp Plus is billed through the store you downloaded from, your App Store account or your Google Play account, and renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings; refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies.
Where is my data stored?
There’s no account and nothing stored on our servers — your data lives on your device. Delete it at any time in the app’s settings, or by deleting the app. See the privacy policy for the full picture.
Does RestUp have an Android watch app?
No. The native watch app and complications are Apple Watch only; there is no Wear OS app. On Android, RestUp reads whatever your watch or band already writes to Health Connect — Wear OS, Samsung, Fitbit, Garmin and others — and shows your readings in the app and in home screen widgets.
