Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how RestUp for iPhone and Android collects, uses, and protects your personal information.
Data We Collect
RestUp does not require an account and does not collect personal details like your name or email. What you record in the app — morning and evening check-ins, and any nights you add or edit by hand — is stored on your phone. If you grant permission, the app also reads health data your watch or tracker recorded, through Apple Health on iPhone or Health Connect on Android, including sleep stages, heart rate, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, breathing rate, and workouts; this data stays on your device too. If you subscribe to RestUp Plus, the purchase is processed by Apple or Google together with RevenueCat; we receive only an anonymous subscription status — never your name, card, or payment details.
How We Use Your Data
Your data is used on your device to calculate your readiness score, explain your sleep, and send you relevant notifications (with your permission). Your data is backed up privately by your device's own cloud service — iCloud on iPhone, Google backup on Android — as part of your normal device backup; we never see it. We also collect anonymous usage analytics to improve the app experience. Analytics is enabled by default and can be turned off at any time on your profile under Your Data > Share Anonymous Analytics. We never sell your personal data to third parties.

Data Retention
Your data stays on your device for as long as you keep the app. Deleting your data in the app, or deleting the app itself, removes it from your device. Private cloud backups are governed by your iCloud or Google backup settings and can be removed there.
Your Rights
RestUp keeps your data on your device — we don't store it on our servers, so there is nothing we could access, correct, or delete for you. You exercise these rights directly: view and export your data in the app, and delete it at any time by clearing it in the app or removing the app. Private cloud backups belong to your own iCloud or Google account. Since your personal data never reaches us, there is nothing to request from us under GDPR (EU) or CCPA (California).
Security
Your health data is encrypted at rest on your device, and cloud backups are protected by the security of your own iCloud or Google account. While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
Children's Privacy
RestUp is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such data, we will promptly delete it.
